IODP³ Gateway Now Open for Applications

We are pleased to announce that the IODP³ Gateway is now open for Expedition Science Team and Panel & Board membership applications!

The IODP³ Gateway may be accessed via the Apply to Participate button on the IODP³ website, or directly at gateway.iodp3.org.

Detailed guidance on how to use the IODP³ Gateway to make an application is available in our revised Guide for Applicants, that now includes step-by-step instructions for requesting a Gateway account and for using this to prepare/submit an application.

Please ensure that you refer to the guide when using the system.

There are currently five open calls for applications, all with a deadline of midnight GMT on Friday 31 January 2025:

Call to Participate: IODP³/NSF Expedition 501 – New England Shelf Hydrogeology.
Call for Applications: IODP³ MSP-Facility Board: Science Board.
Call for Applications: IODP³ Science Evaluation Panel Members.
Call for Applications: Magellan³ Steering Committee.

Please note that the IODP³ Gateway system for submission of new drilling/coring and SPARC proposals is still under development and will be launched as soon as possible (as a result, the deadline for proposal submission has now been extended – see separate announcement on the IODP³ website homepage).

Until this part of the system is made available, clicking on “Proposal Submission” on your IODP³ Gateway homepage will show locked submission panels.

An announcement will be posted on the IODP³ website when the proposal submission system is ready to use.
