IODP3 Resources
Core Repositories
IODP3 cores - physical samples of sediments and rocks recovered from the subseafloor - are stored and curated at core repositories funded by ECORD, JAMSTEC and NSF, along with cores colllected by previous ocean drilling programmes.
Data & Samples
IODP3 provides open access to all expedition samples and data once the members of Expedition Science Teams have had a reasonable opportunity to complete their initial studies within a one-year moratorium period. Samples and data from all other scientific ocean drilling programmes (past and present) are also freely available.
Acronyms
Successive scientific ocean drilling programmes have made widespread use of acronyms for frequently used terms and the names of various organisational entities.
KML Tools
To facilitate visualisation of drill site locations in Google Earth (or other environments), IODP3 continues the practice established in previous scientific ocean drilling programmes of providing files containing drill site locations and associated metadata.
Branding & Logos
IODP3 logos are made available for download for use in publications, presentations and webpages.
