Call for Proposals: Scientific Ocean Drilling and Land-to-Sea proposal deadline 1st July 2026!

The next IODP³ Scientific Ocean Drilling and Land-to-Sea proposal deadline is coming up this summer! We would like to highlight this exciting opportunity to the IODP³ community, and ask that all proposals are completed and submitted by midnight GMT on 1^st July 2026 via the IODP³ Gateway.

The IODP³ Gateway now accepts all proposal types - including all forms of Scientific Ocean Drilling proposals, and all forms of Land-to-Sea proposals. Submission guidelines can be found on our website here. These include step-by-step instructions and screenshots to help you navigate the Gateway system.

Any proposals submitted after the deadline will be reviewed in the next evaluation cycle. Please note - there is only one annual deadline for Land-to-Sea proposals, so any Land-to-Sea submissions received after 1st July will not be assessed until July 2027!

Our next SPARCs deadline is 31st January 2027, however SPARC proposals are welcomed at any time, ready to be assessed in February 2027.
