*Upcoming Public Event* Antarctica: The Ice That Shapes Our World
Join ANZIC and IODP-Italia in a special public event exploring why Antarctica matters, what we are discovering about its past, and what those discoveries mean for our shared future.
Drawing on decades of research, major Southern Ocean expeditions and geological drilling programs, marine geoscientist Dr Laura De Santis will reveal how Antarctic ice sheets have advanced and retreated over millions of years, and what this means for global climate risk today.
An expert panel will follow, discussing the importance of international collaboration in Antarctic and ocean science and taking audience questions
Wednesday 11 March, 11am in person at The Australian National University and online
