Availability of the IODP³ Gateway

The IODP³ Gateway for submission of new drilling proposals and applications to participate is currently under development.

We aim to have this system operational by late-December 2024. This will be in time to receive proposals well before the 31 January submission deadline and before the deadlines for forthcoming calls to participate.

All of the information required to begin preparing proposal submissions and applications to participate ahead of the launch of the IODP³ Gateway is provided under Guidelines. These are:

• Guide for Applicants - outlining the information required for applications to join Expedition Science Teams and to serve on IODP³ Panels and Boards
• Submission Guidelines for SPARCs - giving full details of the new IODP³ SPARCs initiative and how to prepare SPARC proposals
• Submission Guidelines for Scientific Ocean Drilling Proposals - giving full details of the drilling proposal submission requirements (including Land-to-Sea proposals)
• Guidelines for Site Characterisation Data - outlining site survey data requirements for offshore drilling expeditions
