Starting in 2025, the International Ocean Discovery Programme (IODP) will be renamed IODP3.
In 2026, an agreement between JAMSTEC and the International Continental Scientific Drilling Program (ICDP) will be signed regarding land-based scientific drilling.
The Earth Drilling Science Session will consider the major changes in the international environment surrounding drilling science. The data obtained through drilling in oceans, on land, and both, including IODP, IODP3, and ICDP, and the presentation of scientific research results using collected samples and data, and the latest information on future long-term scientific plans.
In addition, new proposal ideas will be presented, and reports will be made on new methods and technological development research related to drilling science are also welcome.
The deadline for early submissions is 23:59 on Thursday, February 5th , and the final submission deadline is 17:00 on Tuesday, February 18th.
